To estimate bone mineral density (BMD) loss in endocrinological patients, we performed 528 persons with such diseases as diabetes mellitus type 1, hypothyroidism, toxic goiter and glucocorticoid-dependent bronchial asthma. BMD was measured by DEXA method in forearm distal parts. Atraumatic fractures were registered in 15,3 %.We demonstrated high frequency of osteopenic syndrome (62,6-80%) in endocrine patients, more expressive in postmenopausal women. The received data allowed to determinate OP risk factors for our territory. |
