Summary:Computed lower abdomen tomography and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging were performed in a 59-year-old male patient who presented with complaints of urinary retention and pelvic pain. It was observed that there was a mass lesion with a heterogeneous internal structure, located in the midline in the pelvic region, with a lobulated contour, approximately 14x13 cm in size, pushing the bladder forward and the rectum backward, containing cystic and contrasting solid areas. The patient underwent pelvic exploration and mass excision. These recent pathological findings were consistent with the diagnosis of synovial sarcoma (SS). SSs are tumors that occur mostly in the para-articular soft tissue of the extremities in young adults and are extremely rare in the primary pelvic region.
