Morphological Manifestations of Reticuloendothelial Function Relationship between Carbon Black Clearance and Morphological Changes of the Reticuloendo- thelial Cells

For the purpose of clarifying the relationship between morphological changes of RE cells and the carbon black clearance, several experiments were performed. The results were as follows: 1) The carbon black clearance test indicated the functional conditions of the RE cells. 2) Subcutaneous histiocyte...

Summary:For the purpose of clarifying the relationship between morphological changes of RE cells and the carbon black clearance, several experiments were performed. The results were as follows: 1) The carbon black clearance test indicated the functional conditions of the RE cells. 2) Subcutaneous histiocytes fairly indicated the functional conditions of the RE cells, which was in contact with the blood stream, i.e. Kupffer cells of the liver. The authors express their cordial thanks to President Prof. S. Tasaka and to Prof. K. Akazaki for their guidances.
