Summary:We have carried out a meteorological measurement activity as one of the undamental investigations or the bridging project over the Straits of Akashi using the following method. While one aircraft is flying across the Straits of Akashi emitting smoke at an altitude of 60 meter which is the bridging height, Synchronous Air Photographs are then taken with two other aircrafts from a higher altitude than the aforesaid one so that stereo photographs of the emitted smoke from low altitude aircraft can be taken. Wind velocity and wind direction at bridging altitude of 60 m are then measured photogrammetry rom stereo photographs of the smoke trail. Thus these stereo photographs provide us with information that is necessary to analyse the air currents from a meteorological stand point.
