Summary: | In the construction of transition pipelines with large diameter the extent of application of automatic welding shielding gases is continuously increasing. The currently available equipment makes it possible to weld simultaneously with two or three welding heads thus creating additional possibilities for increasing the rate of construction. The realisation of these possibilities depends greatly on the assembling and welding of the root and first filling layers. In assembling, the pipeline is placed on the edge and is built up by welding new pipe sections. Prior to welding, the cube sections are secured with clamps of the internal centring device on both sides of the device and this is followed by welding of pipes. |
