Summary: | Homeless people appeared on the streets of Bucharest in 1990. Since then, their number and the problems created by this phenomenon have steadily increased in all major cities of the country. 26.67% live in the city suburbs because there are abandoned buildings easier to find and lesser problems with law enforcement. Only 0.67 % has identity documents. All questioned homeless believe that their life has deteriorated over the past year. Most of them are interested in surviving today, tomorrow is another day. This category of persons does not have medical insurance so almost all health investigations were made by NGOs and very few were made accessing emergency state care. |
