[18F]FTC-146: A novel and highly selective PET ligand for visualizing sigma-1 receptors in living subjects

Cell uptake studies showed that the level of [18F]FTC-146 accumulation correlated well (up to 4 times higher in transfected than control cells) with the levels of sigma-1 receptor expression. microPET images of [18F]FTC-146 in normal anaesthetized mice showed high uptake of the radioligand in expect...

Summary:Cell uptake studies showed that the level of [18F]FTC-146 accumulation correlated well (up to 4 times higher in transfected than control cells) with the levels of sigma-1 receptor expression. microPET images of [18F]FTC-146 in normal anaesthetized mice showed high uptake of the radioligand in expected sigma-1 rich regions (i.e., brain, heart, lung and liver) but was also seen in bone.
