Summary: | Granulosa cell tumors (GCTs), belonging to the sex cord stromal group of non-epithelial malignancies of the ovary, constitute 3% of all ovarian tumors and 70% of sex cord stromal tumors. An abdominal mass is the most common sign. Since these tumors are hormonally active,an elevated level of estradiol and low serum level of FSH are useful for diagnosis. We aimed to present two cases who were diagnosed and treated as GCTs in our clinic and to discuss the characteristics of GCT in light of the literature. (JAREM 2012; 2: 87-8) |
