Summary: | In an earlier issue of "Theology", Torry suggested that a conceptual framework based on action rather than on being might offer a new way forward for apologetics. Develops this framework further by proposing a notion of "patterns of action", within a context that sees God as Action itself and as the creative source of ever changing patterns of action. Suggests that this might point the way towards a new understanding of relationships between different religious traditions, and between different denominations within a single faith tradition, exemplified here in "the Church". |
