Summary:Objective physical criteria of data reliability are used to analyze experimental cross sections of partial photoneutron reactions (γ, 1 n ) and (γ, 2 n ) obtained on the beams of bremsstrahlung. In this type of experiments, cross sections of partial reactions are determined by adding corrections calculated on the basis of statistical theory to neutron yield cross sections (γ, xn ) measured experimentally. It is found using such corrections when dealing with 59 Co, 58,60 Ni, and 112, 114, 119 Sn nuclei produces data that do not satisfy the physical criteria of reliability and therefore not reliable. At the same time, data obtained for 127 I, 165 Ho, and 181 Ta nuclei could be interpreted as free of such doubts.
