Summary:The scattering properties of 7 Li vapor are investigated, in the very-low-density limit, within the Lippmann–Schwinger framework. These properties include (1) the various scattering cross sections—total, viscosity, (complex) spin-exchange, and average—defined by standard expressions; (2) the singlet and triplet s-wave scattering lengths; and (3) the spin-exchange rate coefficient. The calculations are carried out using the so-called HH, hybrid, and Murrell–Sorbie (M-S) potentials. Comparison to previous results is made whenever possible. By and large, the agreement with those results is good. This includes the singlet s-wave scattering length, but the triplet counterpart turns out to be highly sensitive to the input potential.
