Summary:This work presents a web-based virtual laboratory that looks and feels like the real world. The realistic environment is generated with Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). With this technology, students can walk inside the simulated laboratory and interact with objects therein; then, they can examine and “handle” expensive equipment in a safe environment. VRML offer an innovative way to teach and engage students. The Virtual Laboratory increases the student's motivation and improves the learning process. The student doesn't require the installation of special software on his remote computer; only need a common VRML enabled browser.
