Summary:An abstract of a study by Buller et al determining the success of Live Fit on Campus, a dynamic Web-based health intervention for college freshmen, is presented. Students were highly satisfied with the Web site's style and information, women more so than men. The strength of building a theory-based framework was evident in students spending 45% of their total minutes on the Live Fit Skills and Quizzes. The program appealed most to students contemplating a change in fruit and vegetable consumption or in action toward making a behavioral change. Live Fit on Campus can complement a student health services mission and provide nutrition and physical guidance to freshman transitioning from home to independence.
