Summary:This study was aimed to determine the structure of fishing gears used in the Kemaliye Region of Keban Dam Lake (Turkey) between July 2012- June 2013. In the study area, weekly measurements were made as a result of observations on the structural characteristics of fishing gears, fishing boats and places were nets were kept outside fishing seasons. It was found that most of the fishing gears used in this region (2000 hectares) were gillnets (14000 m). In addition, trammel nets and crayfish traps were also used. It was determined that 12200 m were monofilament and 1800 m were multifilament. A total of 900 m trammel nets were also determined. In addition, a total of 1500 traps used for catching crayfish were examined.
