Summary: | An abstract of a study by O'Kane et al recognizing the benefits of the nutrition program is presented. Project Educate, Act, Thrive provides students with more access to fruits and vegetables through a garden-based nutrition program at Tennyson and San Lorenzo High School. To evaluate the effectiveness of the programs, 204 students participated in an online nutrition survey and tracked their food intake and physical activity levels on the MyPyramid.gov Web site. |
