Multiple Delay-Moments Based Estimators for True Coherence Bandwidth

The traditional technique for coherence bandwidth estimation exploits only the second-order information of a power delay profile (PDP), thus often failing to act on coherence functions of varying shape, albeit a wide-range multiplier is adopted in the reciprocal formula of rms-delay spread. In this...

Summary:The traditional technique for coherence bandwidth estimation exploits only the second-order information of a power delay profile (PDP), thus often failing to act on coherence functions of varying shape, albeit a wide-range multiplier is adopted in the reciprocal formula of rms-delay spread. In this letter, we exploit constituent delay moments inherent in a general coherence function to construct a new PDP based estimator, resulting in a much better coherence bandwidth estimation.
