Cover Feature: Boosting the Photocatalytic Activity of P25 for Carbon Dioxide Reduction by using a Surface‐Alkalinized Titanium Carbide MXene as Cocatalyst (ChemSusChem 10/2018)
The Cover Feature shows the photocatalytic CO2 reduction process on TiO2‐nanoparticle‐loaded Ti3C2 MXene. The hydroxyl groups decorated on Ti3C2 improve adsorption and activation of CO2 molecules. Summary: | The Cover Feature shows the photocatalytic CO2 reduction process on TiO2‐nanoparticle‐loaded Ti3C2 MXene. The hydroxyl groups decorated on Ti3C2 improve adsorption and activation of CO2 molecules. Under sunlight irradiation, the electrons “bumped” in TiO2 are “sprinkled” on the Ti3C2‐based “meadow”, on which the CO2 along with H2O are reduced into hydrocarbon solar fuels (e.g., CH4 and CO).
