Summary:Abstract The paper handles the relevance problem of all-terrain vehicle utilization to provide for transportation in hard-to-access territories of the Russian Federation. The most advisable is the utilization of track snow and swamp-going vehicle. It has been demonstrated that, for Russian market, the most relevant is the development of vehicles with 4-6 t load capacity. Analyzed was 5901 track snow and swamp-going vehicle developed in Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev and “Zavolzhsky Crawler Vehicle Plant” CJSC Demonstrated were better load carrying capacity, soil pressure and motor power performance values compared to the existing similar vehicles. The paper presents the basic specifications.
