Summary:According to the 2011 census, Greece’s population is around 11 million. In Greek mythology, Achilles was a Greek hero of the Trojan War and the central character and greatest warrior of Homer’s Iliad. Because of his death from a small wound in the heel, the term Achilles’ heel has come to mean a person’s point of weakness. First described by George Higoumenakis in 1927 George Higoumenakis (1895–1983), (Fig. 2 [See PDF]), who was a Greek dermatologist.
