Summary:Herein, we aimed to evaluate the demographic data and clinical process of children diagnosed with hydatid disease, which is still a widespread and important public health problem in our country. The incidence of HD is approximately 0.82.0/100000 people in Turkey (6). Besides being an important public health problem with a significant economic burden, an alarming number of deaths due to HD have been reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) (5). The medical records of patients were reviewed to obtain data regarding patient age, sex, animal contact history, symptoms, cyst location, cyst numbers and sizes, clinical findings. Significance value was < 0.05 for most of the demographic and prognostic factors in this test. [...]we compared continuous variables using chi-square and Mann-Whitney U-test for non-parametric data.
