Summary:With the rapid development of power grid construction, more and more attention has been paid to the automatic inspection of transmission lines. In order to detect the defect of insulator in transmission line, the detection method based on the color and space distance of insulator in aerial image is described. This method fully considers the previous work experience, introduces two factors of color and distance in the design, and makes full use of prior information to optimize the key steps in the algorithm, and gives the experience value, so that the algorithm can effectively avoid missed detection and false detection, and work efficiently and accurately at the same time. The algorithm has a good detection effect for insulator missing, pollution flashover and bird droppings accumulation.
