Summary:The property of the added air mass of a plane membrane suspended between supports and vibrating in x-y plane with a half-sine fundamental mode is obtained again by analysis with a normal method which differs from that presented in the last proceedings. The method used in this paper is that based on a source distribution modeling approach (the last method was that based on a vortex distribution modeling approach). The calculated result of a, the ratio of the added air mass to the mass of the membrane itself, is 0.94/(m/(r)), where m is the mass per unit area of the membrane, r the density of the air flow and l the length of the membrane. This result is roughly equal to that obtained from the method in the last paper.
