Summary: | This paper is based on a survey of 5, 155 articles indexed in the No. 1, 1984 issue of Igaku Chuo Zasshi (Japana Centra Revuo Medicina). This issue was published about one year after Igaku Chuo Zasshi adopted a computerized editing system in April 1983. The average number of indexing terms, the percentage of articles with abstract, and the time lag were surveyed. The following results were obtained: 1. The average number of indexing terms per article was 1.79. 2. The articles with abstract accounted for 12.1 percent of the total. 3. The time lag was 13.4 months. |
