Summary:Abstract The present research studies the effects of kebar grass extract on the growth and enhancement reproduction of male broodstock catfish. Employing three distinct methods of administration ethanol extract injection, the simplicia method, and traditional extraction this research assesses their impact on the test fish development and survival. The results indicate that the ethanol extract injection method is most effective, yielding the highest body weight gain (520±3.06 g) and the greatest specific growth rate (0.73±0.07% per day). Additionally, this method also recorded the lowest feed conversion ratio (2.58±0.34). Across all methods utilizing kebar grass extract, a 100±0.00% survival rate was observed. The study also monitored water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen (4.1 - 6.2 ppm), temperature (26.8 - 27.8 °C), pH (4.4 - 6.8), alkalinity (102.70 - 157.31 mg/L), ammonia (1.400 - 2.989 mg.L −1 ), and nitrite (0.3 - 0.7 mg.L −1 ), which were maintained within suitable ranges for catfish cultivation.
