Summary: | Mathematical models play a vital role in fuel cell development. Some of the aspects treated with the help of models are the analysis of steady state and transient system behaviour during regular operation or start‐up and shut‐down, optimisation of system design and operating conditions and failure detection by online observation. In this contribution, we present some typical equations for high temperature fuel cell models and demonstrate their numerical treatment. (© 2005 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) |
