Summary:The review discusses the prospects for the use of chondroitin sulfate and its derivatives for new indications in patients with and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome after SARS-CoV-2 infection. The epidemiology, clinical  manifestations, main mechanisms of the development of the dysregulation of neuroimmunoendocrine network interactions  in long-term COVID-19 are considered. Modern data on the relationship between mechanisms of neuroprotective effects of  chondroitin sulfate and its derivatives and their chemical  structure characteristics have been analyzed. The position is  argued according to which chondroitin sulfate and its  derivatives can become promising drugs in prevention of the  development of neuroimmunoendocrine network interactions  disorders in COVID-19.
