Summary:As the penetration of photovoltaic power plants (PVPP) increases, the impact on the reliability and stability of the bulk system is becoming significant. Thus, the present paper analyses the performance of a small PVPP interconnected with a weak grid under different solar radiation and temperature. For this purpose, a PVPP of 1 MW is modelled and simulated in DiGSILENT PowerFactory, where different ambient conditions are tested for each PV array. The simulations and results are conducted to understand the impact of variable ambient conditions at different stages of the PVPP.
