Summary:Background. The article is devoted to the acute issues of interdisciplinary interaction of humanities and is a practice-oriented work in the field of teaching methods of the disciplines «History», «Philosophy», «Fundamentals of Russian statehood». This disciplinary series of sciences in the system of higher education has a single point of contact - the methodology of formation of historical consciousness of young people. The research is addressed to the phenomenon of historical identity, which is actualized in modern realities. As the practice of philosophical education shows, students in technical universities have some difficulty in understanding and analyzing this phenomenon in a personal aspect. Purpose. Substantiation of the position that reveals enlightenment as a condition of student's orientation in philosophical and historical problems. Materials and methods. The basis of the study was the analytical material of the generalized experience of teaching the above disciplines, as well as the socio-philosophical approach to the problems of historiosophic nature. Results. The questions relevant for young people in training, which are removed by philosophical education, are considered, which include: man as a subject of history, the nature of delusions, the culture of historical memory, the role of chance in social development, the predictive potential of history and philosophy. Practical solutions are proposed as possible forms of explanation of these issues. The assignments for students, developed and tested in the educational process, demonstrate the participation of philosophical enlightenment in the comprehension and ethical evaluation of the historical process, and contribute to the substantiation of responsibility for the philosophical reflection of history. Philosophy and history are two manifestations of the humanistic worldview, which are methodologically only formalized by logic, but are generated by personal psychology combined with a sense of history.
