Summary:The results of a study of the effect of the homogeneous addition of 237 Np, 241 Am, 243 Am into the fuel on the neutronics characteristics of a lead-cooled fast reactor are reported. The reasons for the change in the delayed- neutron fraction and the effective delayed-neutron fraction, breeding ratio, density effect of reactivity, and residual energy release of the fuel unloaded from the core are analyzed. The transmutation efficiency was determined for the starting actinide fraction 3–5% h.a. mass in the fuel.
