Isolation and structure of raveyine, a novel norditerpenoid alkaloid from Consolida raveyi (Boiss) Schrod

From the aerial parts of Consolida raveyi (Boiss) Schrod., a new norditerpenoid alkaloid designated as raveyine has been isolated along with the known alkaloids ajaconine, azitine, chellespontine and isoatisine. Summary:From the aerial parts of Consolida raveyi (Boiss) Schrod., a new norditerpenoid alkaloid designated as raveyine has been isolated along with the known alkaloids ajaconine, azitine, chellespontine and isoatisine. The structure of raveyine (4) was determined on the basis of homonuclear H-1 decoupled C-13, DEPT, 2D H-1 phase sensitive COSY, TOCSY, ROESY, H-1-C-13 HMQC, HMQC-clean TOCSY and HMBC NMR spectral studies.
