Summary: | Two cases of rectal carcinoid with multiple liver metastases were reported. Although the size of rectal carcinoids in two cases was only about 10mm in diameter and the invasion of the tumour was limited in the submucosal layer, multiple metastases were already recognized in the liver. US and CT revealed cystic pattern in the center of the tumor and celiac angiography demonstrated that hepatic arterial branches were displaced, streched in the surrounding of the tumor. These findings were differentiated from the imaging study about the liver metastases of other digestive tumors. |
