Summary: | This conversation between Vernon Rosario and William Cornell explores the meanings and challenges of nonnormative sexual preferences and the varieties and variations of gender experience and expression from personal, clinical, social, and historical perspectives. Particular attention is paid to gender presentations among contemporary adolescents. In addressing the core of the clinical issues in therapy, Rosario argues for the reliance on individuals' psychological experiences (however complexly molded) in helping them achieve their own authentic harmony with their material bodies. |
