Summary:According to the statistic of Levene's Test (F) which is 0.012, the level of significance which is 0.912, and comparing this level of significance with 0.05, it is obvious that the null hypothesis based on the equality of the variances in two groups is not rejected. According to the statistic of the T-Test which is -0.369, with the degree of freedom of 57, the level of significance of 0.714, and comparing this level of significance with α=0.05, it is obvious that the null hypothesis based on the equality of the total mean scores in two groups of experimental and control group is not rejected. According to statistics the null hypothesis is not rejected, in other words critical thinking does not develop writing sustained argumentative essays by Iranian University EFL students.
