Summary: | Japanese monster culture is an important part of Japanese folk beliefs. In this paper, we use a web crawler to collect data on audience online comments on Japanese monster culture, and preprocess the data by removing operations such as missing values and duplicate values. The features in the collected data are then extracted using the expected cross-entropy method to transform the text into a structured format. Sentiment analysis methods were also used to scan the text data, determine sentiment word tendencies and calculate output sentiment values based on degree level words. The study shows that the audience’s emotional attitude toward anime that incorporates Japanese monster culture is basically positive, with an average sentiment value between 0.3 and 0.46. The analysis of the value of Japanese monster culture found that the average emotional value of the audience in each dimension of emotional and cognitive value is between 3.71-4.58, indicating that Japanese monster culture, as a carrier of Japanese folk culture, embodies a high value in folk culture research. This paper provides a reference for research in the field of Japanese monster culture to help with the dissemination and inheritance of folk culture. |
