Summary:This paper presents the application of a new method of multicriteria comparison of approximate border areas - MABAC. The basis of the method is reflected in defining a distance of criterion function of each observed alternative from the approximate border area. A border approximate area is defined by a separate procedure for each criteria and depends on the value of all alternatives according to the observed criteria. The method is shown through six simple steps made in order to support decision-making on the use of force in a defensive operation. Previous studies were used for the definition of criteria and their weight coefficients.
