Summary:This paper presents an advanced design of the piezoelectric single-plate bending vibrator, in which interdigital electrodes formed in parallel to the plate-length are used for both poling treatment and excitation of vibrations. The dependences of the capacitance ratio of the vibrator on the electrode dimensions and the poling-voltage are clarified. It is demonstrated that the proposed vibrator exhibits the performance superior to the conventional bimorph vibrator.
