Holographic multi-photon 3D laser nanoprinting – at the speed of light: opinion

In this opinion article, we discuss the possibility of printing three-dimensional macroscopic architectures with nanometer feature size by irradiating a light-sensitive ink with a single, spatiotemporally shaped, short laser pulse. Summary:In this opinion article, we discuss the possibility of printing three-dimensional macroscopic architectures with nanometer feature size by irradiating a light-sensitive ink with a single, spatiotemporally shaped, short laser pulse. We argue that the peak print rate of this approach may reach 10 20 -10 21 voxels s -1 , surpassing the present state-of-the-art of about 10 8 voxels s -1 by a very large margin.
