Summary:The growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday life raised a need to build AI literacy . Students, educators or working professionals needs to know more about AI, its underlying technologies, impact or ethical considerations. This paper explore the roles of AI literacy and the critical role of e-learning platforms in improving it. Via a qualitative approach, combining literature review with content analysis, it has been found that the intersection of AI literacy with e-learning is still an underexplored topic, indicating a possible gap in academic research. The multitude of AI literacy definitions and the lack of consensus on its components may suggest that the research field is not yet matured. The review of the AI-related offerings from education providers like DeepLearning.AI, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and DataCamp has shown their vast potential to contribute to AI education by offering online courses for everyone.
