Summary: | The aim of this study was to compare the coloration of 6 different universal composite resins aged in artificial saliva preparation with each other and for 3 separate spectrophotometer devices.
In this study six universal composites; Omnichroma (Tokuyama, Japan ), Vittra APS Unique (FGM,Brasil), Charisma Diamond One (Kulzer,Germany), OptiShade (Kerr Dental,USA), G-aenial A'Chord ( GC Corp, Japan ), Neo Spectra ST (Dentsply,USA) were exeminated.
10 samples were prepared for each material. The samples were polymerized with an OptiLux 500 (Sybron-Kerr) light device for 20 seconds. 3 different color devices were used; CM 3600A, Vita Easyshade V and Vita Easyshade Compact. L,a,b values were measured at the beginning and after 6 months of artificial saliva aging, and coloration values were calculated and compared separately for all color devices using the CİEDE2000 color difference formula. In statistical evaluation, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann Whitney U Test were used.
In our study, CM 3600A and Vita EasyShade V were compared and there was a significant difference between Optishade and Neo Spectra, according to the ΔE00 values at the end of 6 months. When the Vita EasyShade V and Vita EasyShade Compact were compared, all other composite materials showed significant differences except these materials. When CM 3600A and Vita EasyShade Compact were compared, G-Aenial A'chord, Vittra APS Unique and Neo Spectra ST showed significant differences.
For 3 different spectrofotometers, ΔE00 value was varied depending on the materials. Only for Omnichroma, all three spectrophotometers showed no significant difference in ΔE00 value. |
