Summary:In this article an overview is presented of identified devices that are or can be used for in vitro pressure and stiffness measurements of compression bandages and bandage systems. The performance of these devices has been evaluated on several parameters as well as the clinical relevance of the findings. In addition, recommendations for improvement and standardization of future measurements from the International Compression Club (ICC) working group compression bandages are presented.
