Crystal structure of (Pb1−xMx)Sr2(Y1−yCay)Cu2Oz and its physical properties
Authors examined the conditions for preparing the (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 phase and the kind of elements substituted for the Pb site. When the M element is divalent or trivalent, single phase (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 was formed, indicating that charge balance is important for forming the (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 phase. Qu...

Summary: | Authors examined the conditions for preparing the (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 phase and the kind of elements substituted for the Pb site. When the M element is divalent or trivalent, single phase (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 was formed, indicating that charge balance is important for forming the (Pb2/3M1/3)-1212 phase. Quenching treatment was indispensable for forming a single phase of the (PbPb2/3M1/3)-1212 compound (M = Ag, Cu, Fe, Ga, In, and Ni). Authors also investigated the physical properties of (Pb2/3Ag1/3)-1212 phase and confirmed its nonsuperconductivity. 4 refs. |
