Summary: | By making use of two-dimensional (2D) ray-tracing model results, a new propagation prediction model for wireless communications in indoor environments is developed. It is more accurate than 2D models and more efficient than three-dimensional (3D) ray-tracing models for getting the path loss of any point on single floors of buildings. A ray-tracing algorithm for propagation prediction based on GO (geometrical optics) and UTD (uniform theory of diffraction) is presented. The simulation agrees well with measurement. |
