Summary:A procedure was developed for preparing Mn(II) and Co(II) triuranates M II U 3 O 10 ·6H 2 O by the reaction of schoepite UO 3 ·2.25H 2 O with aqueous solutions of Mn(II) and Co(II) nitrates. Methods of hightemperature X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and chemical analysis were used for determining the composition and structure of the compounds and for studying their dehydration and thermal decomposition.
