A Phase Diagram of theN-Cetylpiridinium Chloride/1-BuOH/Water Ternary System
The phase diagram of the CPyCl/1-BuOH/H2O ternary system has been established. The system presents a two-phase region along the water/alcohol axis. It consists of a clear isotropic and low viscous region, which extends from the water-rich corner to the alcohol-rich corner, the L phase, and two liqui...

Summary: | The phase diagram of the CPyCl/1-BuOH/H2O ternary system has been established. The system presents a two-phase region along the water/alcohol axis. It consists of a clear isotropic and low viscous region, which extends from the water-rich corner to the alcohol-rich corner, the L phase, and two liquid crystalline mesophases that have been characterized as hexagonal, H1, and lamellar, L. The L phase has been studied by means of conductivity. |
