Summary: | In 2019, the Swiss canton of Vaud launched a new digital education format for all levels, from kindergarten to high school, that closely combines IT and social sciences. In this experience report, we present the model that inspired it, the conceptual references to which it is linked, many examples of its implementation and the conditions under which it was carried out. The model is pluralistic in that it combines several pedagogical aims: understanding algorithms as a principle of modularity in problem processing, understanding the historical and contemporary socio-technical environments in which they are deployed, engaging in delegation decisions to machines at various levels, engaging in ethical self-regulation of these choices. Within this framework, a variant of the model focusing on ecological issues is presented. |
