Summary: | Due to the increasing penetration of renewable generation in distribution grids and novel loads, distribution system operators (DSOs) are increasingly confronted with congestions such as line and transformer overloads or voltage band violations. They need to anticipate these congestions and take corrective measures to resolve them. In this work, we present a new congestion resolution framework that combines grid internal measures such as topology changes with subsequent redispatch of distributed energy resources (DERs). This sequenced strategy ensures that curtailment and corresponding compensation costs only occur after grid internal means are exhausted. |
