Summary:The iron guanidine catalyst shows extraordinary copolymerization activity towards lactide, glycolide, and ϵ‐caprolactone, as reported by Sonja Herres‐Pawlis, Moshe Kol, and co‐workers in their Research Article (e202112853). Depending on the reaction temperature and the mode of monomer addition, it either forms up to pentablock copolymers in a highly defined way or promotes transesterifications to such a high degree that random copolymers are produced. Therefore, it is a rare example of a catalyst mastering both microstructures: ordered and chaotic.
