Summary: | The Front Cover shows a general scheme for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyzed by cobalt complexes in aqueous solutions. Hydrogen production from sunlight and water represents one promising approach to produce clean and renewable energy for the future. There has been tremendous progress in developing molecular Co catalysts for HER, especially in aqueous solutions.
To provide insight into the structure‐function relationships in catalytic HER, recent developments in molecular Co complexes with pentadentate ligands are discussed. More information can be found in the Minireview by C. E. Webster, X. Zhao et al. |
