ChemInform Abstract: Water-Accelerated Cationic π-(7-endo) Cyclization: Application to Indole-Based Peri-Annulated Polyheterocycles

Indole‐ and azaindole‐based biaryl compounds undergo the cyclization with aromatic or aliphatic aldehydes in the presence of catalytic amounts of TFA within 30 minutes to give fused benzazepines.
