Summary:Through the comparison of a case of Dysorexia and another of Bulimia the differences, in terms of (a) temporal articulations, among the two psychopathological phenomena are made explicit. It is argued that while Dysorexia unfolds in the past future of the symbolic temporality of the return of the repressed, Bulimia unravels in a circular temporalitydriven by repetition. These differences can only be explained through the presence of an even more relevant dissimilarity in the psycopatho-logicalarticulations of Bulimia and the symptom. If the (a) temporality of Bulimia is distinguished from the one operating in the symptom, it is due to the fact that Bulimia does not constitute a true symptomato-logicalformation.
